Day Out With Thomas is a family event that offers aspiring engineers and their families the unique opportunity to take a ride with Thomas the Tank Engine at regional heritage railroads across the country.

Day Out With Thomas™ is a family event that offers aspiring engineers and their families the unique opportunity to take a ride with the classic storybook engine, Thomas the Tank Engine™, at regional heritage railroads across the country.
Edaville with all its attractions will be open 9am -5pm on the days of DOWT.
All of Edaville’s rides (over 20) and other attractions will be operating for DOWT along with special themed activities such as visits with Sir Topham Hat, temporary tattoos, bubble station and more. Of course, an approximately 20-minute ride with Thomas on the Edaville Railroad is included.
You will receive them by email to be printed and brought with you to the event.

No, your ticket is good for the departure time you choose when purchasing tickets. Please arrive at the boarding platform approximately 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time to be sure you don’t miss your train.
Yes, these events at Edaville are very popular, and often sell out. We recommend purchasing your tickets early to avoid disappointment.
No, parking is always free at Edaville.
Yes, it is. However, seating is limited. If you need assistance or will be riding in a wheelchair, please reach out to info@edaville.com so that we can reserve your space.
No, there is no assigned seating. However we recommend that you board the train with your group if you wish to sit together.
No, pets are not allowed at Edaville.

Yes, there are a variety of food options available at Edaville.
DOWT events operate rain or shine. Please plan and dress accordingly.
One train ride per ticket. Be sure to arrive for your scheduled departure on time!
Guests one year old and over need tickets to enter Edaville and enjoy the park and activities.
Due to the popularity of this event, we do not offer any refunds or exchanges for tickets purchased.
